Evolv Review – Is Evolv Health or Evolv Water a Real Business Opportunity?

by clare on January 15, 2010

Evolv Health is a direct sales nutraceutical beverage company founded by Texan Billionaire, Trey White in mid-2009.

Evolv is a juice company with a product based on archaea Active which includes enzymes from pineapple and papaya, extracts from alfalfa stems and leaves and protein from milk whey. More than 15 years of scientific research and development has been spent in the proprietary, all natural Archaea Active formula. Evolv combines this colorless and flavorless formula with natural spring water to deliver a combination of health benefits that delivers good hydration with enhanced oxygen utilization. The effects are increased stamina, energy and endurance, benefits we all need in our current stressed-out lives! Archaea refers to the group of microscopic, single-celled micro-organisms that are the simplest forms of life. These single cells are adapted to survive even the harshest environments and have given scientists and researchers valuable insights into DNA repair capabilities. Hence, Evolv are marketing what can be perceived as an exciting product.

In essence, Evolv is natural spring water which costs $55/case – includes 24 16.09oz bottles. The price is expensive given that it is just a case of water. Evolv claims that the product is priced that way because it is very special water. It is an essential beverage product with health benefits. The more of this product being sold, the higher compensation an individual will receive.

So what makes Evolv special as a network marketing opportunity?

Evolv is still in its early days, having been launched in August 2009. This makes this opportunity a higher than average risk because issues will usually be ironed out within 2 years and 85% of newcomers will have failed in this time so if you are new to this industry you should be careful about picking a new company! However, I balance this with risk versus reward – rewards are usually higher at the beginning too. Whether you are successful in a new company will be determined by your ability to recruit and build a team! Network Marketing is a recruiting, relationship business and depends entirely on the skills of its sales forces.
Next, we need to consider how Evolv pays its sales force? Evolv’s compensation plan is set up like a traditional Binary Structure and Evolv has chosen an “Evolved Binary” compensation plan. This set up builds both depth and width with a binary volume and an executive match. The compensation plan involves pay out up to $50,000 a week and can match up to 100%. Also, bonuses include Fast Start bonus wherein on the first order there’s a 25% down to 3 generations.

Overall, it pays out in line with industry standards – 50%. With regards retention of distributors, I understand that thus far this is also in line with industry standards of between 15% and 30%. Team leaders will tell you that their retention rates are very high – like 80% but this is their front line team, not the whole team which almost always averages out to be very low. Sadly, this is a reflection of the lack of skills and training in our industry.
The average distributor is sold on the basis of recruiting only a handful of people to achieve residual income for life. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Network marketing like any other entrepreneurial endeavor is a tough business that requires business skills, sales skills and gritty determination never to quit. This is not your average distributor.

So Evolv has started with great promise but if you want to truly succeed at this company or any other, you must learn the skills that it takes to succeed.
